The Rebaño returns with a swoosh, Chivas debuts new Nike kit
Nike and Chivas pulled the cover off today. The first collection of the Futuro Sagrado era went live in Mexico with early access on Nike.com, the Nike App, the Chivas online store, Nike Madero, Nike Andares, and club shops. The rest of the world waits until July 22.
The home shirt keeps five red stripes on white and brings back the polo collar. Navy runs through the collar and the side panels. The design strips out the busier graphics of recent Chivas kits. The collection also marks the club's 120th year.

The away shirt uses a white base with a red-to-blue gradient applied to the crest, the Swoosh, the sponsor marks, and the nameset.
Nike also built Chivas a custom visual identity. There is a new wordmark with the goat's horns worked into the letterforms, plus an exclusive font for names and numbers drawn from Mexican graphic design. That matters for a club whose identity rests on being Mexican. Nike could have stretched a template over the crest and did not.

Sponsors sit heavy on the chest. Amazon Prime is centered between the crest and the Swoosh at a smaller size than before. Caliente.mx lost its white box. GNP Seguros, MG, Omnilife, Nutri, and Akron round out the set.
The shirt uses Nike Aero-FIT, with open and closed weave zones for airflow. Graphics are knit into the fabric rather than printed on top.
Armando "La Hormiga" González and Alicia Cervantes fronted the launch. González said the shirt honors the club's history and the future it is building.
