Puerto Rico's new kit supplier is a custom uniform shop in Minneapolis.

The Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol released home and away shirts for the 26-27 cycle this week, opening a technical partnership with Stimulus Athletic. Hummel is out. El Huracán Azul now dresses in gear from a brand that mostly outfits youth clubs and high schools.

What the kits look like

Home is a geometric mosaic in deep blue and black, built from two reference points: the cobblestones of Old San Juan and the island's bioluminescent bays. That pattern runs across the full front and the sleeves. Teal trims the collar and cuffs. Black shorts and blue socks finish it.

Away goes white with flag detailing. Red striping runs down the flanks and fades into a digital gradient toward the hem. Cyan and red pick out the collar and sleeve cuffs.

Who Stimulus Athletic is

Geison Moura founded the brand after a playing career that started barefoot on dirt fields in Brazil. He turned pro in Minnesota with the Thunder and Minnesota United. The business he built serves youth clubs, high schools, and adult leagues that could not get custom uniforms at a price they could carry.

Minneapolis City SC is on the client list. So is the Anguilla Football Association. A CONCACAF member federation now sits at the top of it.

Why a federation goes indie

Puerto Rico ranks 154th in the world and has never reached a World Cup or a Gold Cup. That profile does not command attention from the three brands that dominate the kit market. Hummel covered the island for years. Stimulus covers it with more design control in San Juan and fewer decisions made inside a global template.

The trade is scale. Stimulus has to produce player issue and replica stock for a national team program across a full cycle, on top of the club orders that built the company.
