One Love, One Jersey: adidas & The Bob Marley Foundation Reimagine Jamaica’s 2026 Kits
adidas and the Jamaica Football Federation unveil 2026 Bob Marley-inspired home and away kits, blending reggae heritage, football culture, and performance innovation ahead of the World Cup.
Today, adidas unveiled the new Jamaica Football Federation home and away kits, created in collaboration with the Bob Marley Foundation.
The home shirt pulls directly from the yellow of the national flag’s saltire and channels Bob Marley’s 1970s style. Horizontal green, gold, and red stripes stretch across the chest in a repeating pattern inspired by the crocheted garments and hats synonymous with Marley. Up close, the fabric reveals subtle record-shaped motifs woven into the knit, a nod to the sound that shaped a nation.
On the lower corner, a drop tag graphic carries Marley’s famous words: “Football is freedom,” alongside his iconic silhouette. It feels intentional. Personal. The collar trim blends green, gold, and red against a black base, while “Reggae Boyz” and “Reggae Girlz” are inscribed on the back in a typeface inspired by Tuff Gong, Marley’s record label. Heritage is stitched into every detail.

The away kit leans fully into Jamaica’s sonic DNA. A black base sets the tone, punctuated by circular and zigzag graphics that reference vinyl records, cassettes, and sound waves. The Trefoil sits proudly beside the golden JFF crest, merging retro energy with modern swagger. Once again, the Tuff Gong-inspired script marks the collar sign-off, reinforcing that this is a collection built with intention.
Performance has not been overlooked. Both kits feature body-mapped 3D engineered stretch fabrics and adidas’ CLIMACOOL+ technology, designed to wick sweat faster and keep players cooler in intense warm-weather conditions. Wider mesh Three Stripes on the home shirt enhance breathability, while the away kit adapts that technology through herringbone tape. Strategically placed mesh zones ensure ventilation when the tempo rises.
Sam Handy, General Manager at adidas Football, called the collaboration with the Bob Marley Foundation “a true honour,” noting that the design process sought to capture Marley’s spirit as both a musical icon and a lifelong football lover. JFF President Michael Ricketts added that the collection reflects “the liberating freedom of the game and the pride of our country.”

To mark the launch, adidas and the JFF partnered with Skip Marley on a short film shot at 56 Hope Road, Bob Marley’s former home. The film returns to the backyard where Marley once played football with friends and family, grounding this global moment in a deeply local memory.
The collection also carries purpose beyond aesthetics. The Bob Marley Foundation continues to support underserved communities across Jamaica and has been active in Hurricane Melissa relief efforts, with adidas contributing donations as recovery continues.
In a World Cup cycle where culture and identity matter more than ever, Jamaica is stepping onto the stage in kits that speak clearly. Music. Movement. Freedom.
