Google announced on August 17 that Gemini is now the official consumer AI partner of Arsenal, Liverpool, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern München and Paris Saint-Germain. Pixel keeps its role as official smartphone partner at all five clubs. Arsenal and Liverpool have carried Pixel since 2023, so both agreements are renewals with a second Google product added.

Arsenal describes Gemini as its official AI assistant partner. Liverpool uses official consumer AI partner. Google's own announcement applies the same two designations across all five clubs.

The clubs outlined similar plans for fans. Gemini will handle matchday logistics, including syncing fixtures to a calendar, planning away travel through Google Maps and pulling club and match information. Pixel continues shooting tunnel footage, training ground content and pitchside video for the men's and women's teams.

Arsenal open the Premier League season against Coventry City on Friday. Liverpool travel to Newcastle on Sunday.

Google Pixel has been the NWSL's official mobile phone partner since 2024 and presents the league's playoffs and championship. This year's final is set for Audi Field in Washington on November 21. The Pitchside with Pixel content program has run in NWSL stadiums for two seasons.

Gemini was not part of that agreement. Google has limited the AI designation to European clubs so far.

Arsenal and Liverpool both have large followings across North America, Central America and the Caribbean, so supporters here will see the Gemini campaigns arrive through European club channels.

MLS, Liga MX and the NWSL hold the same assets Google is buying in Europe, including behind-the-scenes access, women's teams with growing audiences and matchday planning for fans who cross borders to watch. Whether Google extends the AI partnerships to those properties is worth tracking through the fall.
