Nike has a date for the last piece of Barcelona's 26/27 away collection. The FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro releases September 4 for $200 through SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers, under style code IO6257-001.
Purple runs across nearly the whole upper and carries down through the midsole and outsole. Metallic gold handles the contrast, appearing on a Swoosh that wraps toward the heel and on the Kobe sheath at the tongue. A Cushion 3.0 foam midsole sits underneath. It is the low-top build of Bryant's third signature model, and Nike has kept the color blocking simple enough that the crest and the sheath do the talking.
How it fits the collection
Nike announced the 26/27 away kit in July and named the Kobe 3 and the Nike Dunk Low as part of the same release. The away shirt fades from black at the chest into Field Purple at the hem, with gold and iridescent logos over a snakeskin texture. Line the shoe up against it and you get the same purple family, the same metallic gold, and the same sheath-plus-crest lockup that runs across the training apparel and sportswear in the collection.
This is year two of Barcelona wearing Kobe branding on the away kit, so the footwear is a continuation rather than a one-off collab.
Nikola Kusturica debuted the shoe on court. He plays small forward for Barça Basket, not for the football side, which is worth knowing because a few outlets have him listed as a Barcelona forward.
A second shoe drops September 4. The FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe Dunk Low Protro comes in Black/Field Purple with patent leather overlays at the toe, eyelets, and heel, priced at $135. If you want into the collection without the $200 hit, that is your pair.
