Jumpman Meets the Seleção: Jordan Brand Unveils Brazil’s New Away Kit

Jordan Brand is bringing its Jumpman energy to international football in a historic way. The brand has officially unveiled a new Brazil national team away kit alongside a lifestyle collection that merges football tradition with Jordan’s global street culture influence.

The release marks the first time Jordan Brand has partnered directly with a football federation for an official match kit. The collaboration pairs one of the most recognizable brands in basketball culture with one of football’s most iconic national teams, signaling a new era where sport, fashion, and culture intersect on the world stage.

At the center of the collection is Brazil’s new away jersey, designed to reflect both the heritage of the Seleção and the design language that has defined Jordan Brand for decades. The kit incorporates Brazil’s traditional yellow and blue tones while weaving in Jordan’s signature elephant print pattern, a design element closely associated with the Air Jordan sneaker line.

The result is a bold look that blends football performance with streetwear aesthetics. The Jumpman logo replaces the traditional Nike Swoosh on the jersey, signaling a shift that reinforces Jordan Brand’s growing presence in global football culture.

According to Sarah Mensah, President of Jordan Brand, the partnership represents a deeper cultural connection between two global forces.

“Partnering with the Brazilian Football Federation is more than a collaboration,” Mensah said. “It’s a celebration of greatness, creativity, and the electric energy of global football with Brazil at its vibrant core.”

Brazil players also see the partnership as a cultural moment. Forward Vinícius Júnior described the collaboration as something that speaks to the next generation of players and fans.

“For every kid in Brazil who dreams with a ball at their feet, this partnership means something huge,” Vinícius said. “When the Jumpman stands next to our colors, it shows the world the creativity, passion, and energy that make Brazil special.”

Beyond aesthetics, the kit is built with performance in mind. It features Nike’s Aero-FIT technology, designed to increase airflow and breathability during high-intensity matches. The jerseys are constructed with elliptical mesh zones that help move air between the fabric and the athlete’s skin, helping players stay cool during competition.

The Brazil away kit is part of a broader Jordan Brand “Pro Pack,” which includes training apparel and a special edition Tiempo Maestro football boot. The boot carries the Jumpman logo and elephant print detailing, tying the entire collection together through a unified design language.

Off the pitch, the collaboration expands into a lifestyle collection that remixes Brazil’s iconic colors with Jordan Brand’s streetwear aesthetic. The capsule bridges performance and everyday style, reflecting how football culture increasingly overlaps with fashion, music, and sneaker culture.

Nike leadership also framed the partnership as a natural evolution of the company’s relationship with Brazilian football. Nike first partnered with the Brazilian Football Confederation in 1996, a moment that helped define the brand’s identity within the global game.

“Brazil’s joyful and fearless style of play helped shape the spirit of Nike Football,” said Nike CEO Elliott Hill. “That spirit remains today.”

Now, three decades later, Jordan Brand is stepping into that legacy to push the cultural conversation forward.

For football fans and collectors alike, the collaboration represents something bigger than a kit drop. It is a symbol of how the sport continues to evolve as a cultural force, where the language of basketball, streetwear, and global football can collide in a single design.

The Jordan Brand x Brazil Pro Pack and streetwear collection launched globally on March 12 through Jordan Brand’s digital channels, with retail availability beginning March 13.

As Brazil prepares for the next World Cup cycle, the Seleção will step onto the pitch wearing a kit that reflects both its rich history and the global cultural influence of the Jumpman.
